About myself

Let me introduce myself. My first name is ... My surname is ... . I was born in St. Petersburg (Moscow, Sestroretsk) on the 2d of May, 1996.

Now I am seventeen years old. I am young and good-looking, with dark eyes and long red hair. As for my character I am cheerful, honest, sociable. I have good manners. Also I have a sense of humor. I like jokes. I don’t respect rude, selfish and foolish people. I hate it when people lie and can’t keep their promise. I try to deal with people who are honest, polite, disciplined, they never lie and help in difficult situation.

Being a schoolboy (schoolgirl) I began to do sport. As I always liked sport I decided to enter Saint Petersburg National State University of Physical Education, Sports and Health named after P. F. Lesgaft. I passed my entrance exams and entered this University.

 Now I’m a first-year student of Lesgaft State University of Physical Education. My sport is... I have been doing it for 10 years. I’m a Master of Sports. My coach’s name is ... . He is a Merited Master of Sports and a Master of Sports of International Level. I train 6 times a week at the stadium or in the gym. I participated in district (city, zone, Russian) competitions, European and World Tournaments (championships) and some other events. Sometimes I won the titles (I have never won the titles).

I have / I've got a lot of hobbies. I like painting, dancing and swimming. I also like going to the cinema. I like music. Sometimes I visit museums and art galleries.

My hobbies are: reading, watching TV (listening to the music, going to the theatres, museums, discos and clubs, cooking, sewing, knitting), learning foreign languages, travelling.

In summer I like playing football (volleyball, basketball, badminton). Tennis is also one of my favourite sport. Besides I’m fond of swimming and sunbathing.

In winter I usually practise skiing and skating. I’m a great figure-skating fan. Sometimes I’m engaged in shaping (boxing, aerobics, body-building) and I always enjoy riding a bike and going to the swimming-pool. After graduating from Lesgaft University I’m going to become a coach or a Physical Education teacher.

 

My Working Day (daily routine)

As a rule my working day begins very early. The radio wakes me up at 7 o'clock. I get up, open the window, make the bed and begin to do my morning exercises (daily dozen). Then I go to the bathroom to take a shower. I shave, wash, clean my teeth, dress and do my room. In twenty minutes I am ready to have breakfast. I usually have my breakfast at home.

After breakfast I leave my hostel and go to the University. As the University is far from my hostel I take a bus or go by underground. It takes me not more than fifteen minutes to get to the institute.

Our lessons begin at half past eight. I come to the University a few minutes before the beginning of our lessons. As a rule we have three lessons a day.

Our lessons are over at five minutes past two. After lessons I go to the dining-room of our University to have dinner. After dinner I go to the gym where we have regular training sessions. The gym is not far from our University and I go there on foot.

I take a short rest after dinner before I begin to train. I finish my training and go to my hostel. I come home at a quarter past eight. Al half past eight I have supper, then I go to the reading-hall to do my hometask. Here I meet my fellow-students and we prepare our English task together. We read the text aloud, correct one another's pronunciation, learn grammar rules and write exercises.

On Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, when I have no training, I go to the cinema or the theatre, meet my friends. Sometimes I don't go anywhere and read books or magazines or surf the Internet (play computer games/ work on my computer). In the evening I like to listen to music. If I want to listen to the latest news, I switch on the radio. When there is something interesting on TV, we watch the TV-programme. I go to bed at 12 o'clock.
